A TOWN HALL MEETING by N'COBRA focusing on REPARATIONS approaches as the propencity of reparations is increasing by the year. Most cultures damaged by America have received reparations. Do you think African Americans will receive repartions...and if so... will it be in our lifetime?

From the bank to the Credit Union

I was listening to the Cliff Kelly show on radio station WVON in which he had Andy Shaw (formerly of WLS TV) as his guest. Andy informed the audience of the movement / drive to switch from Banks to The Credit Union. As I listened, I thought..."Why didn't I think of this???" ...as he reminded the audience that the Banks got BAILOUTS prior to the recent economic stimulus folley, but they were still denying Home Mortgage Loans, Business Loans, etc. This is why many people including myself who have either made or was planning to make the switch to The Small Independent Banks. But many of them are also not providing loans.

However, there is the CREDIT UNION!

I remember when my Mother became a member of the Credit Union and as a member, they granted her loans whenever she applied for them. This courtesy is still extended today as many individuals, entrepreneurs and businesss are being re-introduced to the CREDIT UNION.

Credit Unions act on the same principle as Banks. You can open a savings and or checking account there, make deposits and withdrawals like any other Bank and so on. All you have to do is become a member. The best part is Credit Unions GRANT LOANS quicker than any Bank - especially in today's economic climate where the major banks are refusing. Now of course you will still have to qualify but the hurtles are considerably less.

Please take a STAND for the injustices these big Banks like CHASE BANK (which by the way is owned by the J.P.Morgan Chase Family; One of the Owners of the U.S. and Federal Reserve) are imposing on us by purposely denying loans (to eliminate the Middle Class) and making huge profits after they received massive bailouts, and make the switch and JOIN the CREDIT UNION!

Because the majority of press leftand and the cameras are gone doesn't mean that the problem is gone. The problem still exsist and will remain in existence for some time now. Worst of all, Its now the rainy season / hurricane season and Haiti needs us mre than ever! KEEP YOUR EYES ON HAITI!

We have not forgotten and will continue our efforts for this crisis as well as reaching out to all crisis including the one in our own Community!
